Kindergarten Math Task Cards
Task cards are a fun and easy way for students to practice key math skills. I’ve been working to create a growing collection of kindergarten task cards that can be used throughout the year. Each task card set provides quick and focused practice on a targeted math skill.
These kindergarten math task cards can be used independently or with small groups. They are perfect for early finishers, centers, morning work, and more!
Students choose a card, answer the question, and then mark their answers on the recording sheet.
These task cards are low-prep. Simply print, laminate, cut apart the cards, and go!
They are designed to fit into small plastic photo boxes. They print 4 cards per page. Each task card set includes a convenient storage label and student directions. Glue or tape the label to the front of the photo box. The directions can be attached to the inside cover of the box. You could also place them in plastic bags or other containers.
These task cards are easy to pull out for center time, but you can also use them to play “Solve the Room”. For this activity, post the cards around the room. Provide students with a clipboard. Students get up and walk around the room looking for the cards. When they find a card, they answer the question and mark it on their recording sheet.

Set 1: Missing Numbers
Students use the number line to find the missing number.
Set 2: Before and After
Students use the number line to find the number before or after the number shown.
